Difficulty in posting images

Post by philipljackson » Sat Feb 27, 2021 11:49 pm

Hi

I have noticed some of my previous posts are not now showing the image just a small square with the word 'image'.

My post in 'Warbirds and Nostalgia' ... Buccaneers at Holme On Spalding Moor correctly shows a photographs of Buccaneer XK523 but further into the post others now just have a small icon.

I am positive that these photographs have previously rendered OK.

All photographs are stored in the same location so permissions should not be an issue.

Advice appreciated as I am trying to make another post but cannot get the photographs to render correctly.

Many thanks for reading

How did you post them as there is no hosting site link?

Hi Philip, I presume it's this thread you're referring to :- viewtopic.php?t=38506

The first set of shots that still show on here are hosted by http://www.pcdata.co.uk
The shots that don't show on here are all hosted by www.yorkshireairnews.co.uk and will only open if you right-click on the word 'Image' and then click on 'Open image in new tab', so it's maybe best to upload them to your Flickr account and download them onto the forum from there.

Hi Ian, you can see each link if you click on the 'Quote' icon in each post. :)

Ah ok thanks Mike I'm used to seeing a Flickr or similar link under images and clicking them take you to the site image.

You'll only see the Flickr link under a photo if the poster doesn't remove the blurb before and after the and the in the link, I prefer to remove it as it looks tidier.
If you click on the photo then that'll take you to the image in the user's Flickr account though.

Hi

Not sure what is going on but I can see the images OK on my iPad, but not when I view the page on my desktop machine?

Ideas gratefully appreciated.
