How to post videos

Every video on this forum is a link. how do I post videos the same way as photos? so they can be seen without following the link the same way photos can be seen without clicking on them?

I understand that videos are not as popular as photos, but surely videos should have the same rules as photos?

I've been seeing more and more photo threads lately which just include an external link, or one picture with an external link. We'd be grateful if images could be posted in the thread itself (or some posted with an external link if there's loads) rather than just a comment and a link somewhere else like Flickr or another website. If you're just looking to promote your own website, please do so in the "Promotion of your Website" section.

What I meant to say is how do I embed a video, I've tried various ways, no joy at all, anyone?

Gaz: I don't think you can embed video's due to space limitations on the server FC uses. In the early days you couldn't paste pictures for the same reason everthing had to be hosted on an external site and linked.
