The preliminary details of this open cockpit style event have just been added to the museum website.

The event will be used to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of these two aircraft arriving at the museum. It will take place on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st May 2017 from10am until 5pm each day (last admission at 4pm).

Full information in here and regular updates will follow.

BBMF flypasts have been applied for and there will be free access to the Shackleton, Hastings and Ashton that weekend.

Good to report that the first BBMF flypasts have been confirmed:
Saturday 20th May - Lancaster
Sunday 21st May - Spitfire

We have received further contact today from BBMF concerning the flypasts for this event; possible change on the Saturday to Spitfire (depends on Lancaster flight tests) & now a Hurricane for the Sunday.

A quick bump for our event this weekend; BBMF flypasts confirmed with just a mix of the fighters; lots of items relating to the Shackleton and Hastings – including free access to both aircraft for people attending the event.
