New book about History of Newark Air Museum

A new book entitled “Preservation Pioneers – Newark Air Museum 1963 – 2015” has just been published.
It is the story of Newark Air Museum from its first aircraft through to the end of 2015; it has been researched by museum member Colin Savill, and has been published by the museum.
The book covers the history on a year by year basis and it includes a couple of special chapters to cover a notable events. It also features an Appendix entitled “Ones that got away” to record airframes that have been at Newark Air Museum and moved on; plus some notable ‘near-misses’ on the acquisition side.
Copies are now available from the NAM Shop and there will be a book signing session / meet the author on Saturday 10th December 2016 further details about the book can be found in here!
