In a year bereft of good news for the RAF the arrival of 6 squadron at RAF Leuchars in September was something of a bitter sweet moment. The imminent departure of the Tornado F.3 and the uncertainty regarding the future of the Fife air base are to the fore in many peoples minds as the year comes to an end.

The first and the second last time I caught a T12 through the Selkirk - Moffat, taken from Paper Hill, ZH657 over the Loch of the Lowes, 16 June 2010.
I chose this shot as one of my favourites this year as I think it also shows the height, steepness and the size of the hills here.
