VOTING POLL - POTM - December 2021 RESULTS

Post by reaper493 » Thu Jan 13, 2022 9:53 am

Apologies for the delay on this, it's completely slipped my mind until now.

As per note's on the last competition, there will now only be one vote per person, to be reviewed at the next poll.

Please submit your ONE vote using the poll provided for the winner of the December 2021 POTM - going to be very hard to vote this time, some crackers in here.

- You cannot change your vote once submitted
- The poll will run for 7 days from the time of creation
- Please don't vote for yourself! There is no way to enforce this, just an honesty policy
- Results will be announced on the photo thread in the usual manner
- In the event of a tie for 1st or 2nd position, voting by the moderating team will decide upon the final order

The entries are here:

Cheers

Mike

Thanks for organising the poll. A few comments on the new voting system. First past the post leaves several with no votes. Where proportional voting gave encouragement to all and a potential wider selection of context. I have to say that as I posted my entry for December somewhat speculatively, that Chris's excellent shot to my mind was likely to win yet there were others that I would have liked to vote for too.
We should encourage participation? Seeing several nil points, where some of them are pretty good is likely going to be frustrating going ahead. It may lead to people just not bothering in the future? What was the reason for changing?

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your feedback.

The reason for changing was a fair amount of people didn't use three votes, they just did one, so people weren't using their votes. I agree with your comments, I hadn't looked at it from that angle.

I'll have a think and decide what to do for January's voting.

Cheers

Mike
