HH-60s and Royal Danish AF C-130J

Beautiful day in the sun, with low wind good for a change, but blimey once the sun drops its freezing in the shade of all those wonderful conifers
Two USAF HH-60 Pave Hawks were working the range in the mid-late morning slot departing shortly after I arrived! The lunchtime slot was used by a Royal Danish AF C-130J which then headed north to Lossie for an overnighter - it will be returning tomorrow to Spade. Nice to add an unusual visitor to my photo collection. The mid-late afternoon slot was then worked by at least two returning USAF HH-60 Pave Hawks, who I believe are based at RAF Leeming for this Ex.
Most if not all of the work was to the north part of the range based on Berry Hill, with one HH-60 working with various threats while the other explored mainly to the north and east of the outer range areas. The RDAF C-130J was operating at medium level again to the north part of the central range. Photo opportunities therefore were not ideal despite brilliant weather (typically) and mostly distant, although one or two near passes helped.
