Spadeadam Wed 27 Feb - Tranquility day

It was bound to happen after Monday's excitement - sun, heat, no cloud, excellent visibility . . . what more could we want?

Well mid morning arrived on site together with a USAF MC-130H Combat Talon II of 352SOG/7SOS Mildenhall, unfortunately flying mainly to the north end of the range. A photo will be uploaded later.
Then a Aerospatiale AS355F1 G-BPRJ took over the range for the rest of the early afternoon flying test trials to the extremities north and east of the range. This seemed to put a halt to any other use of the range, yawn! :@

So time for a quick exit, with the proviso for anyone hoping to go tomorrow - the Aerospatiale is we think overnighting at Carlisle airport and is booked into range tomorrow, and as a result this may impact on range use by military low level traffic. Mildenhall may give info re Combat Talons coming or not to Spade, but this was a wasted day when the light was as perfect as could be hoped for at all height levels!
So back to getting Monday's photos uploaded.

Chris, a nice brief log, we did have a Typhoon requesting to enter the Range on a bootleg but was denied " No Kits
Available." or in other words its Lunchtime.

Callsign for C130 was Talon 71 and The Helo was Osprey 61

Hi, do you know if any of the Thursday Boys were out on Thursday as I gather that there was a show of force from 2 GR4s - were FACs at Wiley or was it back of range? Any info or contact details please PM me - thanks.
Chris
