Skye in May, mainly birds & other aerial phenomena!

Our now annual early May holiday on Skye provided some great photo opportunities with some stunning birds.
The pair of Great Northern Divers caused dinner to be delayed one evening while I grabbed a rather rare chance to get 2 summer plumaged and calling adults in the same viewfinder at the same time on Skye).
We were for once in the 'right' place and struck lucky with the Aurora although having to look south for the Northern Lights was rather strange - it was the first time we'd ever seen them though - if only it had got darker earlier!!
The Corncrake was a final day surprise as it ran out of the road in front of us and proceeded to call from someone's front "lawn" for 10 minutes before skulking back off into a ditch
