To be more precise 2 weeks spent in Kenya visiting Amboseli,Lakes Naivisha and Nakuru and rounding the trip off with 8 days in the Maasai Mara!
We timed our visit to hopefully catch some of the Great Migration as the Wildebeast,Zebras and Antelope make there way across the Mara River to the fresh grasses and running the gauntlet of crocodiles and waiting Lions/Leopards at the same time.
An absolutely amazing trip with more images than I know what to do with and memories that will last a lifetime.
Sorry for the number of images but this is just a very small glimpse of what we managed to see and photograph.

1/51 Year old Super Tusker "Craig" coming out the brush in Amboseli

2/With there now only being 24 Super Tuskers left this big guy was very much on the to see list and as we found out such a great natured gentle giant

What memories those pictures brought back!!. Spent 5 holidays in Africa, spent time in the Kruger National Park and Pilansburg. Another time in Kenya. Only do video myself, but a friend with us [sadly departed] was an excellent photographer with all the right equipment, and yes, he made us a coffee table book. Like elephants, but don't like being charged by huge males....twice....!!. Africa is astonishing. Also took in a couple of Airshows at Overburg and Ysterplatt. [Lightnings etc] 2005 was the date.

Whether you believe in evolution or creation it's hard to understand Hippos :)

Haha I like to think of Hippos as being the "Bouncers" of the Rivers and Waterholes....realistically no other animals mess with them having watched huge crocodiles especially giving them a very wide berth on the river!
