Some interesting shots, being a retired railwayman, I remember all these types. Peaks, Hoovers, Deltics and Cromptons. The last shot was taken at Waterloo, where I worked in the old HQ building for many years, it shows a Crompton departing on a West of England service heading for Salisbury and maybe even further on to Exeter. I worked in the Train Crew Rosters and Loco Diagramming section and as long as the fuel tanks were full, they could do it. Great memories. I note the Shell Building in the background, at one time the highest building in London. There was an observation deck at the top and it cost 6d to go up there.
