Tawney Owl

came across this guy yesterday when out on the pathways of Brushes Valley

first time I have caught an owl in the wild,a local bird watcher i spoke with later identified it a young Long Eared Owl

Nice catch but looks like a Tawny Owl to me

Great shot, but have to agree it is a Tawny Owl.

Gents thanks, Having looked at other owl pictures I bow to your superior knowledge and agree Tawney owl rather than Long eared owl,my bird identification is very limited so took in good faith what i was told by somebody I thought knew what he was talking about
