Steam through Lincolnshire 2021.

Post by Pete Da Bear » Thu Dec 16, 2021 8:01 pm

A good end to the year for steam enthusiasts in Lincolnshire, like London buses you wait ages then 3 come together. In September 60103, Flying Scotsman, took "The Jolly Fisherman excursion " to Skegness. A great day as AM for the train PM at Coningsby for the Lincolnshire Lancaster Association BBMF display. October and 45596, Bahamas, up to York on the main line. Then a December rush to the Christmas Markets, with 6233, Duchess of Sutherland, 61306, Mayflower and 2 appearances for 44871, Black 5 .

Always liked the way the exhaust occupied the vacuum in front of the funnel on the Duchesses. Still preferred them in BR. green though 1946 Express black was a good alternative.
