Although the Met Office officially declared Christmas day a ‘White Christmas’, the good folk of Bedfordshire who live alongside the River Great Ouse (fourth longest river in the UK) spent their Christmas day trying to keep the flood waters at bay as the River Great Ouse burst its banks and Storm Bella is expected to bring more rain and winds of up to 70mph tonight and tomorrow.
As the River Great Ouse runs through Cambridgeshire, I went with my camera for a power walk in keeping with Tier 4 Covid-19 rules of ‘solo exercising in a public space’, to document the flooding around St Ives, Cambs.

Loving those shots PP. Thanks for taking the timeout to post. You have actually put St Ives onto my places to visit list.
