Skye's (almost) the limit - wildlife from last week.

A very much needed break on Skye for a week or so brought a very changeable weather pattern and some very memorable experiences with the wildlife, the best probably when the camera was miles away in the car (as always).
Below, some of the better results of those that allowed close approach and those that came just a little too close!!

Fantastic pics including one of my favourite birds (Dipper) and of the White tailed Eagles - still on my 'to do list'
Just for information your 'Rock Pipit' in pics 4 and 5 is actually a Twite. Nice catch

These are just great, fantastic Eagle photos there, I love Skye, I was lucky enough to see the White-Tailed Eagles there a couple of years ago,

Stunning, the White tailed Eagle, just superb, what a majestic bird, you have certainly done it justice.
Cheers.

Sorry, that's a Flickr fail, must have copied and pasted with too many images selected! Will correct it asap. Thanks for the heads up!
Cheers for the comments all, very much appreciated. Never thought the boat trip which we saw the WTE from would get us quite as close having done several in part years. Fancy being over lensed at such a critical moment...

Love the pics and particularly the WTE pics. Can I ask which company/boat you used for the WTE shots?

Excellent shots Dave. Watched the report only last night on the Beeb ref WTE and current problems with farmers and livestock. The Dipper is one of my favourites to photograph, these are just brilliant.
Thanks for posting

Thanks! Although there are a couple of others that offer the trip, we've only ever used Stardust boat trips out of Portree for their 2 hour trip. Still £25.00 even after a few years and we also had dolphins in the straits and they usually take you across to Raasay for a close sail-by of the seals.
