I suspect the last four shots were from the 2nd inst. which was a carp day; amazingly he didn't have the sanders on and there wasn't any slipping. However, 47760 was on the back of the thirteen vehicle consist and was taking up its own weight and a little more. I DON'T MIND; it's nice to see a 'Merc' chuntering up the W.C.M.L. and hope it's on again this coming Sunday.

Always been a bit surprised that the tree huggers have never complained about the carbon footprint of all these old steam loco's belching out steam and smoke every where.

Or back in their days when upwards of 20 million tons per annum was shovelled into their fireboxes (and all the coal-fired powerstations). And it's only in recent years the media and politicians have squealed about global warming, sorry, climate change.
