Out of the Lodge Window

Post by WorldInFocus » Mon Dec 04, 2023 2:05 pm

HI Everyone,

Just some pictures I took out of my lodge window at Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat, Keswick in the beautiful Lake District National Park. Taken the weekend of 24th Nov 2023. Shot using a Canon R7 and a Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary lens using the Canon RF-EF convertor.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

We have a Sparrow Hawk visit quite regularly and last week my wife Laura woke me after I fell asleep watching football, and there he was sitting in the middle of the lawn munching a sparrow/starling ran length of house dived into cupboard got camera raced back and he was still there magic.Tried to take pic and found focussing ring fell out with multiple rings spinning round lens casing.First time this has happened within yards of kitchen window .In saying that these were great pictures. If the superglue doesnt work its a new lens but it was worth it seeing it in the garden.

Stunning shots! You definitely found the right lodge to view from, the Song Thrush is a favourite for me.
