Italian visitor 13-06-13

Post by D1scafellpike » Thu Jun 13, 2013 6:13 pm

Sorry this is a bit vague but I saw a small Italian military "biz jet" type (like a BAe 125 but with the rear wings lower down the tail) approaching to land over NW London at 14:22 this afternoon. "Republica Italiana" wording along front of fuselage.

Any ideas as to what it may have been please ?

And talking of of BAe 125's.... ZE396 approached approximately 20 minutes later.

Thanks in advance

Thank you very much
.
Having Googled some pictures, I can say it was definately a Falcon 900EX and 62171 is the same colour scheme is the one I saw. Shame I didn't have time to grab my camera with a larger lens, on the'photo I did get I can see where the serial is located on the nose wheel door but the image is too grainy to read.

One thing I don't understand if someone could explain please and that is how does the time of 15:40 correlate with the time I saw it ? I presume the GMT/ BST difference accounts for an hour but there is still approx 20 minutes difference ?
