One of the Navajo's operating from here has just departed.....one was out and back in yesterday as well.....assume these must be basing elsewhere soon?

Runway is completed.
Now have to do calibration checks and whatever.

Should be opening early fingers crossed

Calibrator aircraft done a few passes late last night,at around 1500 ft

Work completed well ahead of schedule which has impressed me.

FOD plod also completed today as posted on their Twitter. First wheels could hit the tarmac within days. :clap:

Runway closure Notam now expires on the 15th of October. But 25 approach lighting U/S until the 5th November. So we shall see if they open early for daylight ops or wait until everything is working.

Calibrator 501 G-COBS. Checking the lights and PAPI's yesterday evening. all ok and within limits.

Fully operational from 11Nov as far as I know.Restricted opening hours as before 0900-1700 mon-fri and closed weekends except for military movements due to lack of atc controllers.
