WTD - Dead MVT7100.

If anyone has Yupi 7100 that has shuffled off this mortal coil, I'm after a dead one purely for the body plastics.

Hi, Maybe there is a small battery cell inside the scanner, that holds the programmed frequencies even when the pennlight batterys are empty. I have the same problem, but haven't read the booklet if it says anything about this battery cell.

its soldered onto the circuit board, available off Ebay

Thanks folks, the Yupi is working fine, even had the dodgy cap replaced. It's just falling apart after one drop too many.
