Vought Crusader F-8P and the Étendard IVP 2003 the sad end

In 2003, I visited the French Aéronautique Naval base at Landivisiau in Brittany. During that visit, I photographed the sad end to the active service of these two Iconic fighter jets, the beautiful Vought Crusader F-8P and the Dassault Étendard IVP. They languish behind the hangars, awaiting their fate.
More of these jets, both in service and retired, can be found on my blog.

I hope they may be of interest.

Crusaders and Etendards are always great to see, some lovely shots from the old IATs as well, wish I could have seen Crusaders in the old scheme.

Not wishing to over nitpick but the Greenham shots are F-8E(FN) as they only became F-8P after the 1990s upgrade and I'd proof read for spellings (hangar, scrapped, Foch) if you're putting it out there as an article. I'd also mention that although they may have ordered two seaters it never happened, they received 42 F-8E(FN).
