FighterControl

Just getting back into my sims but have come across an issue with joysticks and Windows 7 when on MS Combat flight sim. The joystick just can't be callibrated on MS Combat and when in the set up page of the sim, I select the joystick and just get a load of gobbledy gook figures and numbers as its setting? I can use it ok on the on line sims and set it up ok on windows,but as soon as I try it on MS Combat sim, it just does not want to know....any ideas guys?...its a Black widow stick and throttle btw.
