Re: The Ukraine Situation

Probably only the Russians themselves can rid this world of Putin.
Cruel, I accept, but Ukraine should gather the papers from dead Russian soldiers and broadcast the names on radio to Russia. Russian mothers of the dead need to galvanise an uprising.

Russian individuals who condemn Putin and call for his removal to Den Haag in chains should be allowed to continue playing.

Re: The Ukraine Situation

How about leasing some UAVs to Ukraine, with our advisers flying them over the 40 mile convoy, then have a Ukranian national fire the missiles?

Re: The Ukraine Situation

Membership of NATO is a defensive action. They have proved their actions to be correct. Putin is clearly deranged, so Estonia would have been invaded long ago without their membership.

Re: The Ukraine Situation

Time to make the whole of Russia turn against Putin. Start with a ban on all Russian flights and overflights involving as many countries as possible. A total ban on any spares from Boeing and Airbus. A ban on Land Registry accepting purchases of UK property by Russian nationals. Closure of Russian b...

The remainder of the country’s cyclists were on the A25 yesterday, holding up traffic. Hopefully this was a one-off day of sillyness, but I am not holding my breath!

Ian, if you are happy to receive some critique... the first picture works best as it follows the ‘thirds’ regime. Putting the horizon one third or two thirds of the way down the frame is somehow more pleasing to the eye than halfway.

Re: Russia Ukraine: Moscow lists demands for defusing Ukraine tensions

If you are not proud of being English, don’t insult the rest of us. Just because we are scared witless by the insane actions of your mate Putin does not make us little Englanders. I don’t have a gatepost, and don’t buy the Daily Mail, but don’t let facts get in the way of your ideology!

they only seem to defend there-self against the west and invaders.
Hungary 1956, Czechoslovakia 1968. Or do Soviet history books ignore those?

Re: Russia Ukraine: Moscow lists demands for defusing Ukraine tensions

The Crimea was not "stolen" by Russia. It was part of Russia until "stolen" by Kruschev, himself a Ukranian, and given to the Ukraine in 1954. It has now been taken back by Russia. There would not be all this current tension were it not for the mischief being fostered in the area by the US and its ...

Re: Russia Ukraine: Moscow lists demands for defusing Ukraine tensions

I would hate to think what NATO and the UK would do, if Russia sent the same number of aircraft around the UK daily, as what NATO and the UK send daily around Kaliningrad (Russia). P. Exactly. That and Crimea. Heck there was a RC135 over E Ukraine today. Utter madness. From where I'm seeing it, NAT...
