I live a couple on minute drive from Keevil. It's used most days/evenings by Apache and Chinook crews to name a few as well as the Brize contingent A400M,C17 & C130 for various training sorties. Keevil has always been used during the bigger exercises as a FOB or enemy base and when it's not it's use...

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph the Joint Helicopter Support Squadron (JHSS) In action carrying out underslung load training during ex hookers herald 18. Small route change, The aircraft will now pass W-E over Yeovilton this is so a flypast of Westlands can also be conducted.

nice, I got there as the last one was sitting on the runway ready to go......so I guess you were the one at the fence,,,crowded wasn't it? not been there before, but have a new camera so gonna give taking pics a go......
