I live a couple on minute drive from Keevil. It's used most days/evenings by Apache and Chinook crews to name a few as well as the Brize contingent A400M,C17 & C130 for various training sorties. Keevil has always been used during the bigger exercises as a FOB or enemy base and when it's not it's use...

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph the Joint Helicopter Support Squadron (JHSS) In action carrying out underslung load training during ex hookers herald 18. nice, I got there as the last one was sitting on the runway ready to go......so I guess you were the one at the fence,,,crowded wasn't it? not been there before, but have a new camera so gonna give taking pics a go......
