Drone problem

Having purchased a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone, I now find my phone is not suitable to accept the app.

Anyone found a way round that, other than purchasing a phone that is suitable?

Re: Mildenhall frequencies

APCO25 digital transmissions can be either secure or non-secure and work in the 410-422 MHz band. My old Uniden BCD396 picked it up fine at both Mildenhall and Lakenheath when I was last there.

Re: Mildenhall frequencies

I appreciate there is very little mention of them on this forum, and as I have not been in the area for some time, are the APCO25 digital systems still used at both Mildenhall and Lakenheath?

Re: Gando Ocean Sky 21

Pete, There has been a change of plans to those I told you about a few weeks ago. There will now be an Ocean Sky media day at Gando on 21 October. This is in addition to the initial one I mentioned, taking place at Lanzarote on the 26th. However, that media day will still not involve any fighters. P...

With so much emphasis put on aircraft prop blur by some, it won't be long before the same moaners push for wheel blur :-)

Saw Mike Spence? at Brands in the H.16 Lotus BRM
It's nice you remember him. I worked for him, then not long after his death, went to McClaren.

Re: Exercise Chameleon

I would just say thank you to the guys and girls I talked to on the mound (which overlooks the runway) for their considerate parking, no rubbish strewn around and for being open and friendly. Such a pleasant change from so many other places. P. PS: especial to the two who also watched the stars for ...

Or do some share just so they let people know they know?
I think you may have forgotten one reason why most shares share. It's so they can help create the bigger picture. Unlike those who just look at tracker apps, and rely on others to provide the info.

C-130 ZH866 (Albert 01) also did some HAHO paradrops from FL120.
Shadow R1 ZZ417 (Snake 47) arrived from Waddington on a crew familiarization flight, for future exercise ELINT/SIGINT sorties.

Now you say "they mostly operated out of Leeming".

OK. I will leave it at that, having been at Leuchars myself.

unlike 2020 where it was just the C-130s at Leuchars and everything else at Leeming.
I think you nay need to check that out, as my stay up there, and photos, show a different story :-)

Re: Ex Chameleon 21-2

Sorry, Leeming was not the last exercise HQ.
There are other posts saying that only C-130s used Leuchars last time. They are also incorrect.

Re: B52 Fairford

Anyone who shares AIS data (the same way aircraft data is shared) can put any ship name against any ship MMSI number (same as an aircraft Hex code) in their shipinfo.txt file. A similar situation happened during the last Joint Warrior exercise, when ship enthusiasts saw what they thought was a Russi...
