Revell don't always use the same plastics, it all depends when and where the kit was manufactured. If the plastic is proving to be intolerant to Tamiya extra thin, then it will require an adhesive with a longer exothermic process such as Revell contactia. I recommend Deluxe Precision Plastic glue.
