Re: Planefinder
I think this may explain the answer, being as Planefinder relies on peoples Mode S signals being and they triangulates the signals and roughly work out where the plane is, this is similar to how it works in Planeplotter as well I think.

Looking at the prop blur on the A400, it seems like the engines on each wing have opposite spin direction, is this correct?

Re: 50th anniversary of the first SR-71 flight
I remember getting to Mildenhall before 8:00 in the early years when it was ( er erm operational) :ninja: :ninja: you knew when you saw the sweeper running up and down the runway that it would be out soon, and that distinctive howl as the engines were spooled outside the barn. Then a KC-135q would d...

Nothing happened when the MAS 777 was shot down either!bizfreeq wrote:No one got shot down in these circumstances in 45 years of the last Cold War (apart from the Gary Powers U2 incident and all hell didn't break loose then either) so why is it more likely now?

Re: Donna Nook 24-11-14
350Biker, I have just checked http://www.live-military-mode-s.eu/ and it shows callsign being shown on SBS as BOE72 with a hex of A95A11 on the day it visited Donna Nook, checking the FAA site it states that the reg was cancelled/not taken up, exported to UK 17/6. I hope this helps.
