Are the CH-53 codes (3 digits) now the last 3 of the bu serial, I thought that was the latest format?

Re: WTI exercise

CJ005 should be 169019
CJ015 should be 170005

Both require confirmation though.

170015 is a P-8A

Seen at Imperial on 22/9 ch53k 170005/cj-015.
Can you reconfirm this one please?
170015 would make more sense for CJ/015.
170005 was CJ/005 last I heard.

I agree about the touristy bit which I did years ago with an ex (I took my telescope too 😉)! The narrow cobbled streets are littered with really friendly tapas bars and plenty of Cruzcampo. Seville is always a great place to sit for a couple of days! There’s a few things to chuckle at on this thread though. Firstly, Mike (slogen51) I think you need to work out which way is north and which is south because everything you have logged appears to be the opposite way around to how it actual...

Re: NAS Fallon and West Coast Touring Help

The exercise at Point Magu finishes tomorrow. Just for info, Point Mugu appears to be quite busy at the moment and has had some unusual traffic over the past few weeks including F117, NASA WB57, Whidbey Island F18 Growlers and China Lake F18! Cheers Cheers mate, point Mugu is on our list of places t...

Re: NAS Fallon and West Coast Touring Help

I'm sure that Paulk will answer that question but you do need a very good scope! Beale AFB :- spent a good 4-5 hours outside in Oct 2022, got a TU-2S in the circuit and 3 T-38s landing, once the heat haze died down we read off the ramp( if numbers are your thing) Could you provide the best location ...

Yes but before that heat haze comes up at Nellis one can read just about everything off. Use bean bags and the roof of the car to keep the pole dead still. Don’t get an SUV otherwise you can’t use the roof lol. When I read that VT for me, you and others I had used my tripod for stability. I also hav...
