Re: Lakenheath F15's
Was at Coningsby today, 6 Triple X on the a.s.p. plus 17 Sqdn Houchins. Nothing flew so left after 14:00, 5 of the 6 had been towed back into hangar. I believe flying with crosswind component is linked to individual pilots level of experience on type - hence perhaps none of the new course allowed up...

Re: GR4's Heading South
They were on the way directly to target, with in flight refueling, to do a bit of bunker busting before landing in Italy. They, or a mix of 6 others depending on snags being carried over, will r.t.b. before the end of the week.
Listen out for RAFAIR callsigns.

If you do go to Marham, you'll get the Red Arrows display from 13:25 local and the Lossie GR4's beating up the airfield later on.

Re: Red Arrows at Marham Families Day
And, if you go to the Marham home page (events section), you will see that the Lossie attack pair of GR4s are also confirmed. They really do the business.
Guess they might overnight Wed/Thurs at Coningsby.

Re: A10 arrival date?
Don't know for sure, but have a look at Gary's NOTAM info. ref. exercise 1 thro. 10 August. Those A10s love north Norfolk, and 2 and 2 might equal 4 for once.

Re: Coningsby opening times 27th June to 15th July

All times Zulu of course. There may be othe...

Re: Lakenheath NOTAM Open this Saturday 4th June
Don't know exactly what was going on (4th June) - scanner not to hand, but can confirm that at around 11.00 a 6 ship of F15 in the familiar "standard formation" was heading north west at flight level 170 and at about 300 knots over Kings Lynn/Holbeach. They were followed by two further 2 ships some ...

Re: Marham Log 14/06/2011 10.30-8pm
Vampire 1 took "The Daventry", and told London Mil he would be doing a fly-past at Schrivenham before r.t.b. again via the Daventry.
By this time he was a singleton, and had dropped the "1" from his call-sign.

Re: Coningsby AM 11th May
Two of the Typhoons, holding hands at less than 2,000 feet, heading 090 across Kings Lynn shortly after noon followed by a singleton. Presumed on route to flypast "form-up" off Southwold. The two Tornados returned to Marham just before 13.30, the no.2 enjoying a 360 degree barrel roll as they turned...
