Re: International Aviation Academy Norwich

Just a quick update in that the display of the major types to operate out of Horsham St Faith/Norwich Airport has now been more or less completed with just a 1/72 Hunter to add. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1931/45582261552_c6d63170e8_c.jpg https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1976/43815130040_a9bf5cfd5...

That really is a very special build and what a fantastic finish. Excellent detail and weathering.

Re: Wattisham July 1992 Phantom finale.

Great shots and thanks for posting, although as Weazel69 states, this was mainly for 56`s stand down Phantom Phinale event, hence the 56 Lightning, 56 F.3. and lack of 74 participants.

74 were still operational with the Phantom for another 3 months after this and had their own Phinale.

BoB 1968

As you may already know it`s been 50 years since the making of the BoB movie. Leonard Mosley`s `making of` book was probably one of the first books I read as a child and the front cover always drew my attention. It seemed fitting that if I ever came to make a BoB movie diorama, I would choose the fr...

You have come a long way since you used meths and a match to create a crash airfix plane!!! 30 odd years ago TC!! Really skillful work mate
Cheers mate.

God that invoked some memories from many moons ago, I`d forgotten about that `battle damage` phase.

Manston Harrier

A little something, (if you can call the Airfix 1/24 scale kit `little`), I have been working on and off for the last few months based on one of the residents now based at the Manston fire dump. I wanted to do something a little different from the usual Harrier builds you see and after my visit to M...

RAF 100 Flypast 10th July 2018

From 14 floors up on the roof of my office building in the City I was lucky to get a pretty good view of today's flypast. The photo`s are untouched and nothing special, just for reference of the event. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/920/42606622484_4f25882c60_b.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/926...

Wattisham Station Heritage & XT914 July 2018

Through the 74 Squadron Association I found a home for my Phantom `Cabriolet` model diorama at the Wattisham Station Heritage Museum, so a bit like the recent World cup mood at present, it`s kinda gone home. Along with association secretary Bob Cossey and ex 74 Boss Group Captain Graham Clarke, we w...

Re: CockpitFest 2018

Your probably right and I can see that in John`s post. Just saw red with the `decapitated aircraft` comment which I felt was disrespectful to the efforts of all involved with the event. Will definitely be there next year, wanna see the progress with that Puma and Chinook acquisition. Great job all r...

Re: CockpitFest 2018

Wow...., disturbed and disappointed to see negative comments about this post. Not every aircraft can be saved and even then, not all the airframe can be saved, so why not save what you can and display it to the best of your ability? Most of these are in the early stages of restoration by owners who ...
