If memory serves me right Typhoon would have been much earlier in service and possibly would have won more export orders if it hadnt been for all the indecision from Germany.Pleased we are not involved with them.

I have not seen any reports of their return from recent deployment although Kevins excellent Coningsby site is reporting recent movements.Does anyone know if (or when) they returned please?

Very sobering reading and very sad.Agree with your comments entirely C24.Would appear to have been in process of recovering-a little more height might have made a big difference.Wonder how many other pilots have just got away with it. Typhoon validation on Friday at RIAT 2005(?) comes to mind.

They seem prone to slight changes in wind direction.Iwas there pm on 11th Sept. One flight departed off 24 and landed on 06.next departed 06 and landed on 24. Two runway changes over approx. 2 hours.

Jn my view the two models complement one another quite well.That is providing we have enough B models to fit out the Navy. One potential issue not mentioned so far (unless i have missed it ) is IFR. We dont currently have a capability to refuel the A version.
