They look pretty old and run down with the exception to the one you refer which looks like its being redeveloped. The dispersal to the east of the runway looks pretty old..

Isn't that an old ekranoplan in the centre of the airfield?

I recall watching it with my Grandad in the 70's (i think..) with Hunt and Lauda etc. but i was only young at the time. I guess the glory years for me personally was the Benetton and Williams years.. I am actually a Hamilton fan, but i think his main competitors have been closer in skill and techno...
