300 is the Mk1 version. Most of the mk2 I saw when looking around for pricing were north of £2.5k.

Sadly the combined weight of the 1Dx and 300 2.8 has finally got the better of me and after 2 back surgeries they need to be found new homes... :'( The 1DX is in pretty good condition and has <44000 shots on the counter and comes boxed with all accessories (straps & leads untouched) also dual charge...

I get all mine covered on the all-risks part of my contents insurance with NFU - covers accidental damage as well up to an agreed single item limit (which I can choose) - obvs affects premium the higher unit item you choose but better be safe than sorry.

I believe CJ to be something to do with Jessops. Can't work it out for sure but would suggest they are the outlet for a lot of the Jessops 2nd hand kit. CJ sitelinks to Jessops and the Jessops site describes CJ as a "Partner" site.
