Re: Old 1965 Photograph

Oh wow, I remember a lot of those kits.

In 1962 when I was 8 we lived in London and my father built a load of aircraft and hung them from my bedroom ceiling but I don't think he painted them.

Re: A couple of old Relics in Norfolk......

I probably worked on that GR3. It's been years since I went to Muckleburgh, they had a Hunter there then. Might have to try and pop along next week when I'm staying at Bacton.

Re: The Grand Prix Collection - Donington Park

Thanks for sharing, I've never been there despite being an old F1 fan, the Gold Leaf Team Lotus and the old Mclaren are the best for me - so many memories.

Battle of Britain Hurricane ID?

I'm trying to find the code for P2979 of 111 Squadron at Drem in September 1940, presumably JU-?

My uncle was scrambled in this Hurri on 30th September and so joined the ranks of 'The Few' and I'd like to make a model of it.

Looking to obtain two Revell Hunter F6 kits in 1/72 does anybody have any in their stash they're prepared to sell?

Hurricane decals needed

Hopefully somebody will be able to point me in the right direction (I've looked on Hannants website) I'm after decals for 1/72 Hurricanes, Battle of Britain, 111 and 249 Squadrons. Did consider printing my own but sure I'd get the colours/size wrong. Are there any on the market - or have there been ...

Re: Airfix 1:72 Harrier GR1

Love the GR1 reminds me of when I worked on them - but the roundels had been changed to low vis then, 1973-5. Then we had the first GR3 and T4 come onto the strength. I really ought to make this kit for old times sake :D

Nice work, how many models will you have when the collection is finished? (I'm doing something similar with Hawker Hunters at the moment  )

Re: Graf Zeppelin Does Northolt - 1970s Style

Aaah Northolt! I was based there 1977-8 and got permission to take photos while at work, crap camera that fitted into a pocket so apologies for quality but the subject matter might be interesting. Did someone mention a Shackleton :) http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr148/waghorn41/forum%20stuff/No...

Great photos, especially the Hunters. As has been mentioned the tracked unit is part of the standard crash recovery equipment.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. Wish my eyes were good enough and my hands steady enough these days to make my Hunters as nice as this.
