Looking at the list of Turkish AF kit it shows 243 active F-16s and 48 active F-4s so even personally being sceptical about this story being true it could be a straight swap for the F-4s.

I remember seeing a new based one back when the Alaskas were on TDY at the Hall, it still had some old AMC markings but I'm pretty sure it was for the 100th.

They're still active in Kadena for the moment, just starting to remove some of them.

US Forces just announced the first several F-15s from the 18th FW will depart Kadena on 1st Dec 2022 as part of the phased withdrawal. On my last two visits I saw 8 jets depart to HMSQNLZ and the next time I visited there was 6 207Sqn departures in the morning from 4 different jets

4 Flew back on Tuesday and other 4 today I believe.
