Re: SPTA
MSF reports that C-17A 02 arrived at 1315 and 2 AB412s were being prepared to be loaded. Assume more of the same tomorrow. Any clues what the Swiss are doing re. going home? (Or to put it another way - Is it worth a 6-hour round trip to potentially see nothing other than the based stuff? I think I a...

Re: NATO C17
Morning, Am I right in assuming that the 4 Norwegians that arrived into Brize and subsequently relocated over to SPTA are nightstopping on the plain until the end of the week? I'm hoping to get down South on Friday, so wondering whether I need to be at Brize or Salisbury Plain early Friday morning? ...

Evening,
Can someone a little more "in the know" than me point in the direction of where to view on the plain? Some sort of pointer would be very useful!
regards
Stuart

Evening all,
As per the header, Nigerian Government G550 5N-FGW was noted at Birmingham at around 1630 today, I understand it arrived yesterday? No sign of life around it when I saw it!
cheers

Hi Andy,
Yes, that's where I read it from - Bitterly cold temperatures meant zero heat haze, 100% sure it was 0061!
cheers

Re: Ospreys 19Jan
Andy,
0061 was parked tail-on alongside the hangar at 1300 yesterday, nose facing North. If that's where yours was I would suspect it would be the same one. It was tethered down yesterday, don't know whether you noticed that when you were there?
cheers

Scramble SIS is also showing USAF (CA/MA ANG, tbc) F-15s, and was also showing Ozzie F/A-18F's, although they seem to be greyed out now? I've also had reports that TLG-31 Typhoons and Polish F-16s will also be attending again, but as ever, don't pin anything on it until you see them arrive! Still lo...

Morning,
Couple of questions - Anyone know what they're doing here? (Presumably heading West?). Secondly, any idea when and where they are going?
cheers

Re: AMARG Part I: Inside & Outside
There are/were a pair of German Tornadoes when I was there in 1996, I think the one photographed is one of them. No too sure why, but I suspect they might have been ex-Holloman machines that they retired and it was easier to leave them in the US than to ferry them back across the Atlantic just to be...

US tankers - There was a 100ARW KC-135R with the group (58-0069), which diverted to Lossie with the Hornets. There was also at least 1 (and quite possibly 2) KC-10s at Shannon for the crossing.
