Good Lord, what a fantastic set of shots - how did I miss this when it was first posted?
Thanks for bringing it back to the top of the list for the rest of us who missed them first time round!

Quality of those is fantastic! Wish my scanning of slides gave those results, always find it very challenging. Probably not helped by having used cheapy Jessops film...

Can never have enough pictures of the Sluf. Just for the record England AFB was in Louisiana.
So it was! Picture was taken at Pope AFB, NC. The 23rd Wg at Pope used to be based at England.

SLUFs - getting in on the act

Some lovely A-7 posts on here recently. Prompted me to have a look on my Flickr account to see what I had to offer. Not much operational stuff, they'd mainly retired by the time I got out with a camera :-( Preserved at NAF El Centro, Jul 1992: https://live.staticflickr.com/4135/4929017246_4bfbd8191a...

Re: VAQ33 at Key West 1981

Only just got round to these and the Jacksonville post. All lovely, types and colour. I went to Key West in 96 when I was with the wife, young son and the mother in law, and they were very accommodating as has been said. I asked that if I could somehow lose the family, would I be able to come back ...

Strays 14th March

Thanks to the really helpful posts on this forum, I was able to catch the two Buffs that did the Baltic mission this morning before heading to Fairford. The weather played ball for once, and even better, I needed both machines! Both seen over Northamptonshire. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7907/473...

looks like you had similar weather to what we had.... got to Brize at 8:30 and it was lovely blue sky, it then clouded up for the flypast before finishing the day with some beautiful lighting, you just got to love the British weather :grr: always great to see pics of the old girl   Yep,...

Tornado Farewell at Cranfield

Was very pleased last week to find out Cranfield was on the list for day 2 of the farewell flypasts, since I work there. Duly headed out of the office and was amazed by the number of people that had turned out! It was bedlam on the main road past the end of the runway, thought there were going to be...

Re: Tornado GR Pics, post your best.

As with many others, I now find myself woefully short of Tornado pictures, considering how many I've seen over the years :( Still, here's a few from days gone by, I've avoided common airshow ones cos others will have much better ones that me from such events.. First up, Australian International Airs...

Well caught in nice light.

I notice they have removed the RAF roundel from the front, and also (most of  ) the red, white, blue stripe from the tail!!

Steve
So they have! Bit more effort required on the tail, though. Guess that's it 'de-militarised' :-)

Well Caught Alistair.
Is it getting a new livery?
Not sure. If they do, it won't be done at Cranfield. Trying to see if the registration is a temporary looking sticker, but its hard to tell from those pictures.

ETPS RJ70 @ Cranfield 28/1/19

Hopefully this just scrapes into the 'Military' category. ETPS/Qinetiq RJ70 QQ102 arrived at Cranfield a few weeks ago for a spot of attention. Whilst here, its been re-registered as G-ETPK and yesterday morning was the first time I've seen it marked as such. Part of Qinetiq's drive to move to an al...
