Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019

Eagle Driver refers to dross, not everybody that goes is a die in the wood grey jet anorak and we do like to see a variation in the displays. Plus the fact the Boeing Stearman biplanes have a long military history being used as a basic trainer and even if they have got very flexible acrobats attach...

For clarification, that's the Dutch AH-64D.
Not surprised given their grounding. Shame really, but safety first!

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Unpopular Opinion: RIAT 2019 is shaping up better than 2018 - Certainly in the flying display aspects. :pop: Absolutely agree! The variety seems fantastic with not many repeat airframes on the flying schedule. Sure, there's a few 'filler' acts but despite getting there for opening time, I always fi...

As long as the Malaysians send the Su-30MKM to Britain for RIAT or an exercise this would be good... 😜

Static again...hardly any good flying stuff this year
So a Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27 AND a Romanian Mig-21 both Flying are not good enough?

I had forgotten how common those were in UK Skies.... 🙄

storming pic, was that last spectrum effect a happy accident or actual light/lens conditions? love how happy that Whirlwind seems :-D That was exposed for when Jack noticed that there was a rainbow appearing at the end of the flying display. So a bit of careful selection of settings and a wish for ...

RAF Cosford Airshow 2019 - Inside and Out - LARGE POST

Evening everyone, First airshow of the season for us at JTW Aviation Images was last weekend's RAF Cosford Airshow. We got lucky with the weather, and it produced some lovely backgrounds at times for the displays. Even managed to pop down for the rehearsals on the Saturday, which was left with us wo...

Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019

It really would be good to see a Wittmund based A4 Skyhawk. They have previously said they would appear but cancelled at the last moment..... That’s because as the aircraft was taxiing out it went tech. And the other 6 were out in the Canary Islands, with one of them 6 also broken at the time. Sham...

Wanted - Hasegawa 1:72 CV-22B Osprey

Good morning all, Don’t suppose anyone has the above in their stash and would be willing to part with it, or knows a UK marketplace that has it in stock? Aware it has been discontinued but don’t want to scratch the details required to make it a CV-22 from the well seen and firmly available MV-22 kit...

RAF Lakenheath, Thursday 31st January 2019 - 492FS D-Day 75th Anniversary Scheme Reveal

Good morning all, Last month myself and Jack of JTW Aviation Images were invited to RAF Lakenheath to photograph a "Heritage Event". However, we weren't told what exactly we would be photographing. That was, until Thursday, when the aircraft described above was revealed to the assembled personnel an...
