Re: Polish Air Force - 100th Anniversary Tribute
Thank you for this tribute. If it had not been for one particular Polish soldier who escaped to the U.K, I would not have been married for 47 years to the prettiest girl I had ever seen!!!!. My late Father-in-Law was in the Polish Army, and lost his five brothers in the war. He became the driver for...

It's not because of her. Whoever is in charge is going to have exactly the same problems, with massive differences of views of how to deal with the problem. If you think BJ or JC can do it better, then think again. They will encounter exactly the same problems.

Re: Rare low-flying Norfolk / Cambs; a question.
I live in Chedburgh, near Bury St Edmunds, in Suffolk, and it is not unusual to have very low Hercules, Typhoons, Tucanos etc., but not on a regular basis. This is for sure on a dedicated low fly route. There are turns involved to avoid the village.

Thanks, Bizfeez. I didn't know that, but much cheaper overall than to run a 'private Lancaster'.

Very nice as usual. Duxford has been extremely lucky with Airshow weather over the recent years. What a shame it came unstuck to some extent last week-end.

Re: Raising money to help Lincolnshire Aviation restore the Lancaster NX611 so it can return to flight
I would really like to see this come to fruition. However, as usual, I remain sceptical about these long-term plans to restore things to flight.[A sceptic is an optimist with experience, by the way]. Not only that, I wonder when it would be flown, given the limited runway etc. Airshow organisers alr...

All aeroplanes fly the same way. Pull the stick back, the houses get smaller, push it forward, and they get bigger etc.etc. If you see subsequently see some shots of him doing some basic handling in the film, they may well be genuine, but there is no way he will be the 'handling pilot' on take-off a...

Re: RAF Mildenhall to close. Lakenheath to get F-35 by 2020
I do wish that people on F.C. would stop referring to politicians as 'bumbling idiots' etc. It is extremely childish, rude, arrogant, and implies that YOU now how to run the country better than they do, which is an idiotic suggestion!!, because you certainly don't. Kit Malthouse is far better educat...

Nice pics, Brian. I WAS intending to come, but thought the blustery conditions would be a bit too much for most aircraft so gave today a miss. Have a good week-end, and see you next year.

The right debris field if it hit in a fairly flat, relatively high speed impact.
