Event cancelled, it is on the board at the WAVE. I would check posts by Softbill Man & Reheat Module, as they are likely to be the most up to date.
Also, both R1's currently away, & unlikely to be back before the end of the month. I think you can cancel that booking.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: Field at 23 threshold!
Ah, that explains that then.
The chap you need to speak to usually hangs around by the farm buildings, at the end of the track, from the lane.
He works on the land, on behalf of the owner. When you go there next, please do take a couple of minutes, & ask him for permission first.

Re: Field at 23 threshold!
The main thing about viewing at this point is that you can get some superb shots, with your average camera gear. :) You dont need uber lenses, in fact, a 300 mm is even too long. RM's comment about his visit only recently gives the impression that things are still good there. I hope to be over at Sc...

Re: Field at 23 threshold!
That is strange, when I have been there, the land owner has never had a problem with us being there, I know, because I always ask :S I expect some idiot has caused problems for him, & he has now imposed a blanket ban on access, via the field edge :@ Whoever it was...thanks a bunch :@ :grr: :grr: :grr:

Good effort mate
The Tonka picture is great, but the Tiffy landing, well, you must have had some expert guidance close at hand when you took that one.
Looking forward to the 17th, keep up the good work

Re: Mildenhall 199?
I think the aircraft symbol on the nose refers to an a/c destroyed on the ground  :S  One tale from a work colleague of mine, who served with 31 Sqn, in the first gulf conflict, was of the GR1's being armed with sidewinder, purely for self defence if needs be, but one pilot decided t...

Re: movements listing
I know how hard John is working to make the WAVE a success, if he is running backwards & forwards all day trying to get serials, callsigns etc, then the business will fail, & we will lose a fantastic place for aviation enthusiasts in Lincolnshire. :( John does not have to post the daily movements, h...

Re: what DONT you like about FC?
I look at FC almost every evening, & its great for getting advance notice of particular aircraft, that kind of thing, the photos always impress & inspire, & the modelling section is spot on. My only moan is the use of acronyms for places, etc. I do not come from a military background, I know there a...
