Blimey! Never used to let it get in that state (Waddo hedge).

(Maybe keep this on track for Coningsby as I get confused in my old age).
They had a Turkish F16 back in the day though to keep the hedge low.
I remember a Belgian F-16 scoring a direct hit on the fence. :Wow:

Re: Pigeon chicks rescued from HMS Queen Elizabeth by FAA

Plenty of "vermin" being saved (or allowed to survive) at tax-payers expense with all the "spice heads" plaguing many towns and cities.

The Pigeons are less hassle.

Been a bit of a saga the L-159. Looks like they're finally getting the product they wanted.

We're sending 14 year old Typhoons to RTP to save a few bob.
I'm all for a new British aircraft but where is the magic money tree?

Has the mound of gravel gone from inside the gates? Was useful when caught without ladders.

Re: Red Arrows RAF Scampton air base to be sold off

The base is knackered due to years of cuts, neglect and a lack of investment.

Only thing we can hope for is if someone buys it that will preserve the heritage with the intent to continue to use it for aviation.

To just build houses on it would be criminal.

Surprised they can't come up with a lease deal with BAE for T2s. Done plenty of marketing for them after all.

Please can somebody produce a picture of an RAF Tucano 'mixing-it' with a Spitfire Mk19+ to assist those that can't be arsed to read this thread?
Why specifically a Mk19? It only specifies "a later make" if you read it correctly.

Could have been much further on with this project if they hadn't cancelled FOAS, which was supposed to be a "sacred cow".
