Re: BTF 22-2 General Discussion thread

It's not, because it's a pointless question to which there is no answer, certainly on this forum anyway. The USAF, DOD and MOD will know but as with all of these deployments, it isn't made public. When they have departed for home, we can then work out how long the deployment was. Regards Mark Hope t...

Re: Growler BuNo

Thanks for the confirmation Mike. I'll look forward to seeing VAQ-144 in action.

Are Growlers up to the present day included in Vol 2?

Hope all is well? Regards

Re: Growler BuNo

As of now yes. I can’t see why the US Navy would order more given they don’t use all of the the ones that they currently have but the Senator for Missouri seems to have a lot of clout and even when the USN don’t bid for more Super Hornets in the yearly budget, Congress give them more anyway. No. I suspect that they are stored in the barns at WI with the possibility that one or two of them are still operating from China Lake.

8th to 10th April is Friday to Sunday! An unlikely set of days for a NATO meet IMHO. I would have thought Tuesday to Thursday myself.

Joe's site is very good as a starting point but...does he get his info from other sites or official sources? If it's the former then we still require confirmation. Until somebody tells me that they have confirmation from an official source, the 'x' will remain an 'x' in my file. Regards Mark I usual...

Re: Qatari F15

EGVP, It will have a fourth digit after the ‘hyphen’ but as I’ve already mentioned, it isn’t known. Your photo clearly shows the data block on the port engine intake. The port side of the front ejection seat also only shows 17-002 etc. It’s a FMS number so the full serial will be 17-x002. Unfortunat...

There we go. I would be interested to know whether Scramble have ‘assumed’ that or whether they have had it confirmed?

Re: Qatari F15

No, the digit after the hyphen hasn’t been confirmed. It is ‘assumed’ to be a 0 but not confirmed. All reference to the serial on the jet ie, tail, port engine intake and front ejector seat only quote 17-015 etc etc.

Re: Yeovil (Westland) Sightings 2021

Seen between 1130 and 1445 today (11th November) were:

I-RAIU AW189
ZH584 Lynx
ZZ113 AW101 flew PM
ZZ378 AW159
ZZ513 AW159

A painted Polish AW101 was seen inside that hangar but not read off or countable in my opinion.

Ahh, OK. Close though. There would not be another 5505 though as the F-35 batches do follow each other (so far) with no duplicates.

Hardly rocket science to work out ;-) There is another picture doing the rounds which shows 18-505/LN but there is no confirmation yet on whether it is photoshopped serial given there is no 18-505 known. Regards Mark Seems the identity, well C/N of one of the first F-35s destined for Lakenheath is n...
