RAF Hercules retirement - flypast at Waddington.

The viewing area and the overflow area at Waddington was packed by 14.15 to see the flypast of three RAF Hercules aircraft, in celebration of 56 years of service, heralding the retirement of the fleet from RAF service. Herewith my take from the overflow area:- https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/529...

Re: RAF C-130s - The End is Nigh...

The following two pictures were taken at Cagnes-sur-Mer, next to the Nice Cote d'Azur Airport, in March 2013. It was also the surprise of the day, in that an RAF plane is to be seen at a prime commercial airport on the French Riviera. And the Frenchies around me had much to say ... no they did...

Re: Switching from Photography to Videography for 2023

If aviation is the reason for the video, then the cuts are too fast to properly enjoy your subject. If however, you said to me you are creating something with beat music and planes flying around, then I get it.
Nothing ventured nothing gained! :)

Re: Waddington Based Updated 14.04.23

It was reported on 'UK Heads Up, Movements & OTT' but was either removed or moved to somewhere else - I cannot find it. ZZ666 flew as SHINR40 out of Greenville, Texas, circling to the northeast of Dallas on 22 May.

Dambusters 80th - flight over former RAF Metheringham

A packed 'viewing area' at the former RAF Metheringham welcomed the fly-past of the Lancaster on its tour of bomber county - Lincolnshire. We were treated to a figure eight fly-past over the area, which was a most welcome surprise. And yes, less than 5 minutes after the fly-past, a passing rain show...

Nice work squire ... hmm the trees as you say ... the last shot with Cathedral and bomber is THE shot. Sight of the Cathedral back in WW2 was always a happy moment upon their return. :thumb:

The ghosts of former RAF Scampton. Entombed by security fencing and embalmed with white sheeting. Surrounded by farmers' fields, rookeries in the trees, and the remnants of flightpath lights. The view from the A15 as you pass the former base. Sukhoi Su-22, Phantom F-4F, Buccaneer S.2B, Hunter T.8. T...

The ghosts of former RAF Scampton

A look at the four aircraft parked on the runway of former RAF Scampton. Fenced off and covered - their future? Don`t rise to the bait , no doubt some `stop oil` saddo, fishing for a reaction.
Any true aviation enthusiast would want to see as many planes in the sky as possible !!!
