Re: CWU Action

I took industrial action in the 1980s and again in 2010 when the NAHT boycotted KS2 SATs. It is a very difficult decision.

I think your last two words are the most important - "fair settlement."

Great post. The first one is an E, probably from Spang or Ramstein. Note the slatted wings and gun nose.

Re: The Tories. A funny thing happened

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak looking nailed on to be the next UK PM especially as Boris has dropped out of the leadership contest saying " it would not be the right thing to do". Really? Sunak also of course has a conviction for breaking Covid rules and his resignation as chancellor destabilising ...

Penny Mordaunt also gets my vote

Great swim suit pictures
On that basis can we get the BBC weather presenters - Louise Lear and Elizabeth Rizzini - as PM and chancellor respectively.

That might be one way to get Mirages over here, but you’d need to add tin hat and flak jacket to the spotting kit.

Jeremy Hunt has ruled himself out. Goodness only knows who this crowd will choose next. Running out of options.
According to Yes Minister that usually means he will come in to the race and " do his duty for the Nation , unity and economic stability"
Yes, PRIME Minister!

Re: Pending Winter Power Cuts

As would air in transitioning from room temperature to fridge temperature. I used to do an experiment at school. We’d fill one ice cream container with water, another with sand. Both were heated with a lamp above. Temperature was measured hourly; the sand heated up more quickly but also cooled much ...

Similar idea for defrosting stuff overnight, it saves a small amount of electricity 🥶 Even better to use water filled milk containers a...
