Re: Red Arrow down Bournemouth 2011
Nice poem Goose,is it from a fighter pilot from the second world war?[/quote] It is called "High Flight", & was penned by a young canadian pilot officer, by the surname of Magee. Ironically, & tragically, he too perished in a flying accident, over RAF Digby, during WW2. He now rests at Scopwick, a s...

+4. Waddo is always a great day out, & if its quiet, which does not happen very often, you will be assured of good banter, good food, & many aviation related bargains at the Sentry Post

For Sale, Revell 1/48 B1 Lancer
I have one of the above available for sale. The box is slightly squashed, but all parts are present, undamaged, & still sealed in their plastic bags. I would like £50 for it, & that includes P & P, or you can collect from Lincoln, for £40.
Please PM me if you are interested.
Thanks.

WANTED 1/32 ASRAAMs & pylons
I am building the Revell Eurofighter Typhoon, & wish to finish it as a 3 Sqn a/c, in a QRA fit. Would anybody have 2 ASRAAMs, & the pylons, as you only get 2 in the kit, & I need 4. Willing to trade for Meteor or Iris-T missiles from the same kit, or will pay cash.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Decal softener
Yes indeedy Nick, I can highly recomend The Microscale products, "Micro-Sol" & "Micro-Set". They are available from Hannants, & other good model retailers. The "sol" is applied before the decal is placed, as it helps to eliminate any air bubbles that may be trapped under the decal, once applied, to ...

Re: Typhoon 1/32 Updated 24/7
Looking good Nick, I will be ordering one of those seats for my 1/32 Tiffy, along with the Eduard cockpit detailing set. Also looking at white metal u/c, by SAC, via Alley Cat Models, intake blanks, & inner pylons, from Two Mikes. The kit appears to be going together quite quickly, have you encounte...

Now that is a very useful selection of photos
Seriously thinking about starting my 1/32 Tiffy, so those will prove invaluable.
Any chance of popping the link on the MMM site

Re: Final flight of the Nimrod R1
You could park in Bracebridge, the village between Lincoln & the airfield. It would then mean a 15 minute walk up the A15, to get to the WAVE, a good trek, but worth the effort.

Re: Daft question, but here goes !!
Canon AF just refers to the Auto Focus facility on the lens, it WILL fit your EOS camera, I had exactly the same lens on my 20D, & in my opinion, it gave better results than the Canon equivalent that I also had.

Re: Canon 20D EF-S lens compatibility?
The 55-250 gets good reviews, due to its IS feature ( image stabilization..no teaching of sucking eggs intended... :) ), but lacks the extra reach of your more popular 75-300 lenses. Junes issue of PhotoPlus mag has a review of the kind of lenses your are thinking about, the 55-250 fairs well, but t...
