Re: Any Questions Regarding F35s Whilst at Lakenheath ??

The Typhoon that landed at Lakenheath today, callsign Whirlwind31, had 930 on the tail and no squadron markings The entire Typhoon fleet will be like that eventually, much the same as the Tornado GR.4 fleet in later years (and the Harriers for that matter!). A shame if they all lose squadron marking...

Re: Sun 'n Fun 2017- Mustang Round Up!

Nice Jon, the MIG-23 the star for me. Shame only 16 P51s out of 30 promised for you. Anyone know the history of the Mig-23? Looks very interesting! Also, we had the same issue in 2007 at Columbus, OH with Mustangs - 100+ promised, crappy weather the day before curtailed that, but we still got 77 on...

MO F-15s to the Heath?

Hello,

I've just been told that there are some (18 was mentioned?) Mountain Home F-15Es due to stage through Lakenheath Westbound over the next couple of days. Has anybody else heard this, do we know if there's any truth in it?

cheers

They spelt it right on the header for the picture and then spelt it wrong twice in the article! Lazy local rag journalism...

Re: REQ:RAF Mildenhall 31/03/17

I've had my question answered! The Herk and KC-10 were as I suspected, and the Galaxy was 86-0026. Also present were Grissom 135 60-0322 and MacDill example 61-0315.

Re: Tornado's at Exercise Frisian Flag 2017, Leeuwarden Airb

Today Monday 3/4 they used Norman - one went tech on the runway in the morning sortie so Norman was a three ship and a pair in the afternoon.
Was also a 3-ship on the Thursday morning, possibly for the same reason? (And I think only 2 flew on Thursday afternoon!)

REQ:RAF Mildenhall 31/03/17

Morning, We were at Mildenhall around 2330 on Friday night on the way home from the continent (and on the way TO Lakenheath to try and see some Saudi Eagles!), and noted a Galaxy on the Northside ramp which was in shadow and so unreadable. Any offers for a serial please? There was also a KC-10A whic...

6 left St Louis, 1 turned back enroute (airspare), suspect a second one has done the same now the 4 are established on the Atlantic crossing (more or less!). If there ARE still 5 then that'll be a nice bonus!

Re: Possible F-15SA Delivery Flight - No.3

Matt, same times, same routing, as suggested above, should put them at 56N30W no earlier than 1318, and out of the other side at waypoint MIMKU (56N10W, off the North-Western coast of Ireland) no later than 1641. Assume that it's another hour from MIMKU to Lakenheath, so that's 1741. Also bear in mi...

Lille Securite Civile base

Morning,

Does anyone know if the Sec. Civile still have a helicopter based at Lille? Various online sources seem to conflict with each other?

Could save a wasted detour on the way back to the train next week!

thanks

Re: Frisian Flag 2017

4th Mirage is 671. Belgians FA-70/116/121/124/128 also arrived. (EDITED for correct serials, those on ADSB were nonsense!) Yep, I need 9 out of 12 Germans, 2 of the French, none of the Belgians, and fingers crossed a few Portuguese and a decent amount of the F-15s! Roll on next Thursday! In the last...

Is this possibly the one that stopped at Barton for fuel around 1300?
