Re: road

If not that, then a bridleway (so that the horses used by the police for crowd control are happy).

Red Flag 19-1

I believe that about 8 Typhoons of 6 Sqn have departed to attend Red Flag 19-1 at Nellis AFB. Does anyone know exactly when they departed and which ones they were?

Thanks for posting - always good to know what is going on. Incidentally, serial nearly correct - probably 08-8204 maybe?

CV-22B recent visitors

I see that several CV-22Bs have been operating from MW this week. Any idea if this is to continue for the next couple of days? If so, where is the best place outside the airfield to view/photograph them? (PS. Not Mildenhall!)
Many thanks, TM74

Re: MC205 Veltro

Good photos. There was an MC205 Veltro, probably a replica, at one of the Farnborough airshows a few years ago - but I can't remember exactly when.

Re: CH-47 at Fairford

Rumoured that damage caused by impact with rotor blade of another Chinook while aircraft deployed on operations. Assume that repair will be done by Boeing at either Fleetlands or Boscombe Down.

CH-47 apparently in a damaged condition - so to Boeing at either Boscombe Down or Fleetllands for repair?

Brings back some good memories - thanks for posting.
Incidentally the last two (10286 and 10282) are EC-135Hs that were Mildenhall-based for many years.

Re: WM167 Meteor NF11(Last flight)

Just copied this bit of news, I didn't know a thing about it. Probably a big surprise to quite a few also, as there is no mention on here I could find... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW96DI0or4g Many thanks for posting this. Lt Cdr Kristian Ward obituary

Just noticed an obituary for Lt Cr Ward, who died 15 November 2018, in 31 December 2018 Daily Telegraph. A couple of extracts from a very lengthy DT obituary:- Kristian Nigel Ward was born in Oslo where his father, Commander “Sharkey” Ward, who would became a fighter ace in the 1982 Falklands War, w...

Re: Meteor 18.12.2018

If it was 19.12.2018, then Meteor was WA638 (according to https://bzzspotters.blogspot.com/).
But I guess that is the only one flying at present?
