Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread

Not interesting just annoying that some try to read into things and between the lines. Not just English Language as a subject. Mathematics too - 1+1 is always 2 in basic decimal addition.

Anyway back to topic I suppose...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread

From yesterday's announcemnt at midday:

"The Pakistan Air Force's deployment to the UK will be supported by an IL-78 tanker, however, this jet from 10 Squadron won't be joining the static display."

So if it was showing as static it never was intended to be.

Pakistani IL-78 will now be in the static. This will be the tanker bringing the JF-17 over.
Still showing as support on the web page. Do you have a source for this latest revelation please?

Re: Italian aircraft deployment

Sorry not meant as an insult at all - probably should have said "nearer". Not sure if "old school" is widely understood by younger generations these days. The dark ages pre internet, no mobile 'phones or digital cameras. Having to wait for the films to processed and returned and the next aviation ma...

Re: Italian aircraft deployment

A chance we all have to take but you are more likely not to park (sensibly and legally) at Lakenheath if you go there later. Your choice - enjoy.

Just wondering if the B1 in the flying programme will be an additional one to the already announced one? Or will it be a second one operating from Fairford?

Cheers Sam
The update says additional to the one on static.

It's how things are done these days. You could lose any other form of ticket/pass/ID.

Re: Mini tour of Swiss bases and log 7-Jul7-25

According to PlaneBase J-3096 is correct and was previously marked as "J-3013". The real J-3013 was written off in a mid-air collision in 1981:
