Re: Southport Airshow 2014
mikeysoft an alternative might be to take your dad to Blackpool instead. The lancs, spitfire and hurricane are due in at 15:05 which suggests they are going to go straight over the sea from Southport. If you get there at least half an hour earlier the sparrows should land at 14:27 after their displ...

I'm also having the same issue with UKAR, could be be an issue with a new version of phpBB I wonder? Latest beta of 3.1 came out a couple of weeks ago. I don't use betas on my bulletin boards but haven't noticed an issue being raised about persistent logins. For security I'd recommend people don't ...

Re: Some HDR'd photos, comments?
Subtle use of HDR can make an outstanding image. I don't recall seeing any photos that actually look better using this pseudo-HDR (it isn't HDR as there isn't the dynamic range in a single shot). That's not to say you shouldn't experiment with your photos - though in the examples you've chosen I'd s...

Limiting? 5 smilies is too many for a single post, with quotes or not.
Why do people want to put strings of smilies in their posts. Why quote others?

Re: Limit unregistered Guests !
Other thoughts about the loading on FC from someone who knows very little about php/mySQL. What difference does it make to the loading when users are logged into half a dozen threads at the same time? As I swap threads it is common to see quite a lot of nicknames logged into multiple threads for lon...

I have had no problems accessing FC between midnight and 02:00 (including last night). Is the problem FC or is it the routing from certain people's ISP to the server?

Re: Framing advice
If the photo you show as an example is typical then you definitely need to practice your panning technique - cars on a corner or running animals are good for practicing when no aircraft are available. Check the way you are standing - legs apart, one one slightly in front of the other so you body can...

In simple terms, yes
To balance that...how important are the shots to you? Ones you can't get any other way?....then go for it. A convenience but you'd be able to get the shots another time without the fence/bus/head etc in the way?...then wait.

Situated to the South-East of the site are the Battle Head Quarters. It was a shame each room contained about 8" of water! The HQ with built in pill box to the left. Somewhat late reply. The battle headquarters dowan't have a 'built in pillbox'. The concrete topped room is the observation cupola an...
