Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread
Some of the comments on social media on the USAF demo team pages regarding no UK shows are just embarrassing. People need to get a grip and lose their attitude they entitled to get something every year Agreed, it’s a shame as all the USAF aircrews are always great guys when chatting to them at the ...

I’ve never seen the F22 but the F35 does look like a dynamic display, although I wouldn’t be fussy at either.jasonT1981 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 9:11 pmI maybe in a minority, but I would prefer the F35 Demo over the F22.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread
Negative for the F35 demo, viper demo, A10 demo and Canadian CF18 demo also.
However the F35 has nothin in the calendar for the last few weeks in July so we may get a late addition.

Re: Nov 2019 Logs/Movements
Anyone know what the two fast jets where over Preston heading north around 2.30 today. Saw them from a distance, first though they might have been typhoons from Warton on a easterly take off with a lazy left turn onto north. Now I’m not so sure with no mention of them on here. Two Swiss F18’s from R...

Re: Red Arrows New Base?
For heaven's sake - lets try and keep this within the bounds of common sense. For God knows how long the Reds have been under threat in successive defence reviews, which in reality means on cost grounds. Nine Typhoons plus a spare is a ludicrous fantasy on cost grounds alone: and that is before you...

Re: Red Arrows New Base?
Wishful thinking! Informal talks have been held with BAES on the Hawk T2, but given the life still left in the T1 fleet there was no need for immediate action. If I remember rightly, it was on the Red Arrows TV show where the model was shown. Wouldn’t surprise me if they put it in there to start ru...

Re: Red Arrows New Base?
Wonder what aircraft they will be using when the Hawk T1 retires the T2? Heard a rumour a while back that the tranche 1 Typhoons we’re being considered rather than them head to RTP / storage. I think it stemmed from either a tv programme or social media post of someone in the Reds or Senior RAF in ...

I agree, Tornado is my favourite aircraft of all one. I also agree with the dirty comment, although looks pretty cool with the weapons bay open!

Re: Marham and Holbeach 13.11.19
Brilliant pics. I personally think the F35 is quite photogenic, certainly no less than the Typhoon.
It’ll never beat the Tornado though!

Looking for 493rd FS ‘Canary Reaper’ patch
Hi all, I’m looking for one of the 493rd FS ‘Canary Reaper’ patches from the recent exercise Ocean Sky 2019. If anyone has one they wish to part with or knows of where I can get one I would be very grateful for a PM!
Thanks
Steven

Re: Gando Ocean Sky 19 in October
There was a Spanish A310, NATO C-17 and an A400m (can’t remember which Air Force) yesterday. I didn’t see them although I was tracking them via ADSB hoping they would come past the area I’m staying. Alas they didn’t although we did get a Spanish CASA 295 earlier yesterday.
